Dr. Humaira Iqbal has worked for nearly 10 years as a Consultant Respirologist at Royal Alexandra Hospital in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine and a working Respirologist at the Edmonton Respirologists Consultants Clinic. After studying medicine in Pakistan, she completed her Internal Medicine training and pursued a Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at University of Alberta. She is also a certified diplomate under the American Boards for Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and currently supervises residents and fellows as a Pulmonary Clinical Assistant Professor under the University of Alberta. In addition to her training, Dr. Iqbal holds many leadership positions, most notably in her work as a Pulmonary Bronchoscopy lead, Pulmonary Clinical Assistant lead and Deputy Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at Royal Alexandra Hospital. Her clinical interests include providing comprehensive care for patients with COPD, Asthma, ILD and Sleep Apnea.
